Summary: Big Bob and Little Bob share the same name but other than that everything else about them seems to be different.

Review: A great book about no matter who you are you can like whatever you want (boys can like dolls and girls can like trucks). This has a great meaning for all who reads it.

Summary: The haunting starts even before Sophie arrives on the Isle of Skye to spend the summer with her cousins, but when she arrives she finds a house haunted by the ghost of a girl who attended school there a hundred years ago, as well as cousin Rebecca who died young and is never mentioned by her family--and she must somehow solve the mystery of the frozen Charlotte dolls before the whole family is destroyed.

Review: Beware - this book is not for the faint of heart. A story that starts with a Ouija app, involves an evil family member, ghosts, and possessed frozen Charlotte dolls (they are a real doll I looked it up). I tend to read paranormal fiction and this book gave me the willies and I loved every minute of it! I would recommend this book for kids 12 and up, but, be prepared for them to sleep with the light on for a couple days after reading this book!

Strudel's Forever Home

Cover image for Strudel's forever home

Summary: Strudel, a homeless dachshund, loves listening to Jake read from Chief, Dog of the Old West at the animal shelter. When Jake decides to adopt him, Strudel vows to be as brave and loyal as Chief. Readers get a dog's eye view as Strudel narrates this story of a dog who needed a family, and a struggling family who needed a dog.

Review: Since dachshunds are my favorite breed of dog, I just knew I would absolutely love this book! Strudel the dachshund (such an adorable name for a dog) is at an animal shelter waiting to be adopted when a young volunteer reads to him from a book about a brave dog living in the wild west. Strudel can’t get enough hearing about a brave dog by the name of Chief while feeling heartbroken that he doesn’t have a family. Turns out there’s a family who needs Strudel as much as he needs them. This was such a touching story told in the point-of-view of sweet Strudel. I would recommend this book to any dog lover young and old.
