Summary:
This wonderful picture book is about an unhappy goldfish,
Bubbles, who can only swim “round and round, down to the bottom, and up to the
top” of his fish tank. Bubbles has a good
friend, Cat, who comes up with a wonderful plan to take the fish with him as he
explores. But when Bubbles has the
opportunity to swim away in the sea with the other fish, he makes the decision to
stay with Cat.
Review:
The large watercolor illustrations are a beautiful
touch to this heartwarming story. My favorite quote really sums up this story,“Let’s
go home. There may be lots of other fish
in the sea, but I might never find a friend like you.” Now Bubbles is happy as he explores the world
with his good friend Cat.
