Summary: Scruff the dog just loves to dig. One day, he and his friends find not ten...not twenty...but one hundred bones! What could they be?

Review: I try to read as many dog picture books as I can because I’m a dog lover. This dog book does not disappoint. Scruff is different than the other dogs. More adventurous and free from having any owner. He loves to dig and his curious side leads him to an incredible discovery…bones! Bones that are bigger than any before and seem unlimited. His doggie friends get the courage to dig in the same spot and find even more bones to enjoy. They decide to take the bones to the local history museum and Scruff finally gets an owner of his own. It’s a very cute book with some humorous wording.

Summary: Documents the contributions of specially trained military dogs, profiling noteworthy canine heroes while covering such topics as how they are trained and what happens to them when they retire.

Review: These stories of heroic dogs in the battlefield are stories the whole family could enjoy. I never knew how much dogs play an important part during war. From World War I all the way to present day in Afghanistan these dogs have saved many lives. Something I didn’t know was that families willing offered their beloved pets to the war effort in World War II. There is a picture in the book with a boy giving his dog to an army officer and it says a lot about how important the dogs were. These dogs are as tuff and fearless as their humans. The story of the dog Nemo clearly proves this point. This would be a wonderful Christmas present for anyone in the family!

Summary: Look inside and see if you can find who is hiding, who is not, and what some favorite hiding places might be!

Review: This was a very cute book and it is very interactive for little ones. Read it to my storytime group and they loved it.
