Summary: This true story about an unlikely friendship between a fox and a hound will warm the hearts of children and parents alike. Illustrated with stunning photos, Sniffer & Tinni follows the unusual but adorable pair, revealing how they met and how their strong bond evolved. Whether the two are wandering in the woods or playing with a ball, they're absolutely irresistible.

Review: I adored this book! I chose to pick this one up and give it a try because I always enjoy a good animal book and the title had one of my old dog’s name, Sniffer. Turns out in this story, Sniffer is the red fox who lost his mother when he was little. He met Tinni the dog who helped him grow up with fun company. This is an excellent book to show a child how it is easy to make friends, even if they might be a little different than you. The photography in this non-fiction picture book is heartwarming. I loved the last picture shown of them both walking side by side with their backs turned to the reader. Search Sniffer and Tinni on Facebook and you’ll get to see them both playing together with a cute song. If you love stories on animals and friendship, this book is for you!

Summary: When Nick decides to teach his cats to read, Verne is very much interested, especially in books about mice and fish, but Stevenson wants nothing to do with the project--or does he?

Review: A good book for a read aloud with a class or in a storytime. This is a story about a couple of reluctant readers. One of the cats finally decides to give it a try and realizes how much fun there is to be had reading and acting out the stories. But the other cat is not interested. One day the cat’s owner looks under his bed finds all kinds of drawings of ships and pirates. He realizes they just hadn’t read the kind of book his reluctant reader cat liked – stories with pirates and treasures. Once they go to the library and find all kinds of books to match what he likes they all enjoy reading together.

Summary: Meet Fred--a mischievous, playful, loving dog. It's time for Fred to go to bed . . . but Fred really, really doesn't want to! From hiding up in trees, to splashing in muddy puddles, to hiding behind bookshelves, Fred will do anything to avoid bedtime. He would even rather have a bath than go to bed . . . but all of this running couldn't possibly have possibly made Fred sleepy--could it? Bound to strike a chord with parents and children with their own bedtime distraction techniques, Yasmeen Ismail's hilarious text and cheerful, vivid illustrations will have every reader shouting by the very last page, "Time for Bed, Fred!"

Review: This was a very funny book and a quick read. I enjoyed it because as a parent it is easy to relate to because just like Fred, kids will stall bedtime! I really enjoyed the illustrations in this book as well.
